Song The Plan
Iâm home from Festival 8 and Iâm just now starting to digest and consume everything that went down from the fanâs perspective. The festival was amazing in some seriously impressive ways, and Iâll be working on a full review of everything I saw today when I start my new full-time job. But first, I figured Iâd give a nod to the wondrous event that was Halloween with Exile on Main Street by posting a great full video of âLoving Cup,â the song from the album that Phish fans knew the best (myself included).

Big thanks to Whitperson for running the show on the site this weekend and thanks to all the visitors for hanging out on LMB. Weâll have plenty more to see from the festival if youâre into that sorta thing. Stay tuned.

Back in December, I was lucky enough to catch a reunited Brothers Past play a killer NYE show outside of Philly. With their original drummer, Rick Lowenberg, back in the mix, BP reminded me why I became such a fan of their unique brand of live electronic dance music.
As Iâve been getting back into working out and running a bit more frequently, I realized I was low on new workout tunes to get me motivated. As a result, I decided to put together another version of our Hippie Workout Mix, this time with a focus on the badass beats of Brothers Past.
BPâs precise drum and bass beats and layered polyrhythms give this mix an extra kick in terms of intensity. In fact, on my test runs with this thing, it was often pretty difficult to keep up. I have no doubt itâll get you moving.

The lineup for the Pitchfork Music Festival just got a bit better with the additions below:
Newly added bands as of right this moment: Art-rock exhibitionists Yeasayer, rootsy dudes Blitzen Trapper, epic Danes Mew, Vancouver fuzz buckets Japandroids, Montreal folkies Plants and Animals, wiry post-rockers Disappears, and an indie rock band made by men called Women. Check out all the acts set for the fest thus far below.
Tickets are going fast. I may need to decide to use some miles and get myself to Chicago for this. The lineup looks too good to pass up for me, especially for the price.
